EARTHQUAKE DISASTER VIDEO
This video demonstrates one of the ways a CERT (Volunteer) team would respond to a local earthquake disaster.  (19 min)

Hello!

As Chairman of our Team of Emergency Volunteers it is my responsibility to provide the residents of Panorama Cove and my emergency zone with information on how to prepare for a disaster. Most of the Mobile Home Parks in Hemet have such committees.

Our committee is made up of about 15 residents who have volunteered to be part of Panorama Cove’s Emergency Preparedness Committee.

I am proud to be the chairman of this important committee because I know that a major disaster is a terrible event to go through.  I’ve been through several myself and it is no picnic, as you probably know.  And, with earthquakes, tornadoes and wildfires happening more and more, it’s important to have a team of volunteers ready to assist those in our park who may need help.  You might want to join our team – we can always use a “back-up” to call on when a volunteer is not at home during an emergency.   And besides, we have fun too!

 Meet Our Team

In addition to providing disaster readiness information, our team will check to see if our residents are ok.  We will turn off the gas at the meters (but only if we smell gas), and care for any type of immediate needs as we are able, including medical assistance, evacuation and damage assessment.

We look forward to working with you in our effort to make our park one that, if needed, can survive on its own for awhile, knowing that we’re prepared, ready and knowledgeable.

Panorama Cove Emergency Preparedness Committee

People find themselves in emergencies that make it difficult to think straight.  At these times, emergency personnel who are trying to help you need to know things about you -- possibly to save your life.  Read the rest of the story....
